Galactic Blast!
Blast off our 2010 Summer Enrichment Camp, GALACTIC BLAST, on Monday, August 2 thru Friday, August 6. Children ages four thru 7th grade are invited to come along on the voyage! Camp “cadets” will begin each day at 9 AM, ending 12:30 PM Monday thru Thursday. On Friday a closing performance will be “launched” at Noon for family and friends, followed by an outdoor carnival for all (moonbounce and giant waterslide huge part of the fun!)
All areas of camp activity are led by experienced, child-friendly adult teachers who believe GOD HAS GIVEN US A WORLD FULL OF WONDERS TO EXPLORE. The children will see Space like never before, gaining a new perspective on our planet Earth. They will also learn easy “green” tips to help in its preservation. The week promises to be a cosmic combination of faith and fun, bringing all closer to God and his creation.
For more information and to request registration forms, call the church office at 856-429-2326. A $20.00 donation for each camper is requested to help cover costs. Scholarships available. Older teens are invited to volunteer as junior counselors and should contact Erin Phillips, Minister of Christian Education, at the church office number.
Summer Enrichment (4yrs-7thGrade)
Each summer, during the first full week of August, we host Summer Enrichment for the children of the church and community. During this exciting week, the children experience the teachings of the Bible through lessons, games, crafts, music and theme-related snacks. We close the program on Friday at noon with a drama/musical production and a video review of the week’s fun activities. Then we head outdoors for the children’s very favorite event: A carnival and giant water slide!
Junior Helpers (8th-12thGrade)
Teens get an opportunity to assume leadership roles and enjoy the comradery of friends and new acquaintances. Junior Helper positions are limited. Completion of 7th grade is required and may be eligible for community service requirements. The energy and enthusiasm of the teens plays a vital part in this exciting week!
